Title: Champion Trail
Author: Robert Jackson Copyright Date:1970
Genre: Non-Fiction Pages of Book: 72 Pages
Publisher: Henry Z. Welk Reading Level: Ages 9-12
Summary: Throughout the book it explains about the Indianapolis 500 race and what goes into that race. It explains how fast the cars travel, what the requirements are, and some of the stories associated with those things. It goes into great detail about the type of car and its success or failures. Some types of cars are banned from the race.
Reaction: I'm completely not a car person so I'm not sure why I actually picked this book. I felt like even I at age twenty one didn't understand half of the things that Jackson said in the book. I was actually really bored with this book.
Problem: Robert Jackson talks about many problems the racers had with injury, deaths, and mechanical problems.
Recommendation: I wouldn't recommend this book. Unless there was someone who was really into cars and racing. I think thats what it took to be interested and to understand this book.
