Summary: This book is about a man and woman named Shon and Sian. Everyday Shon goes out into the fields and is really busy. After awhile he feels like his wife has it easy. So she says ok I will go out into the fields tomorrow and you do what I do everyday. Shon is very happy about his day off. The first few hours he sat and did nothing for a few hours then he decides he better make butter for dinner. The butter won't get thick and he is tired of churning so he goes to the cellar to get some ale. As he is filling up his glass he hears something upstairs and run up to find that he left the door open and the pig was in the house and spilt the cream. Then he realizes that he left the ale running. The house is a disaster but there isn't anything he can do about it. He starts rolling the oats for dinner when he remembers he needs to put the cow in the pasture. The house has grass on the roof so Shon decides to put the cow up there and tie a top around its neck and tie it to his ankle so the cow won't go anywhere. While he is boiling oat the cow falls off the roof and he is pulled up the chimney. Sian comes home to the house a mess and her husband and cow hanging by ropes. Shon decides that maybe his work in the fields isn't so bad after all.

Reaction: I thought this book was really funny and entertaining. I think kids would laugh at the funny things that happen to Shon during his day at home.

Problem: Shon feels like he is doing all the hard work around the house.

Recommendation: I would definitely recommend this book. It had great illustrations and was fun to read.
