Summary: Ruby Bridges is selected to go to an all white school. She knows that she is going to get hassled about it but she is fearless. Everyday she is escorted by federal marshals to make sure she was safe. There would be people yelling profanities and saying they were going to kill her. Everyday Ruby would pray for God to forgive these people. She made a huge impact on our history.

Reaction: I loved this book and the many different profound messages that children could get out of it.

Problem: The whites dislike the black and don't think that they should be allowed in what was a whites only school.

Recommendation: I would recommend this book for several reasons. Mainly because of the message that you can take from it.
