Summary: Hush is a picture book about a mother who is telling the things around her sleeping baby to be quiet. She is so worried that their noises will wake up her baby. Though no sound big or small wakes him up. Finally when everyone goes to sleep around the baby, he wakes up. 

Reaction: I expected to like this book a lot more than I did. I didn't like the writing style very much that the author used. It may have been that this book is set in a different culture than I am used to though. 

Problem: The animals are being loud around the sleeping baby. His mother is trying to keep them all quiet. 

Recommendation: I was surprised at the suggested age for this book. I would say maybe even younger than that. In some aspects I do see why it is set a little higher however. I wouldn't recommend this book.
