Summary: Joseph has an overcoat that he loves but it keeps getting worn and made into smaller things. I like the illustrations so much throughout. It really has so much detail and the cutout of the coat is so clever.
Reaction: I thought it was a very well done book, especially the illustrations. I think kids will love looking at these abstract pictures which are unlike any that you usually see.
Problem: Joseph thinks that when he loses every piece of his overcoat that he has lost everything.
Recommendation: I think that this is a great picture book with a great moral. In the end Joseph says that you can always make something out of nothing. I would recommend.
